Anula Wijerama Girls' Home, Balapitiya
The Anula Girl's Home has been running since the 1970s and came to the attention of the Foundation of Goodness when the Rebuilding Lives team started to provide psychosocial support programmes for the children.
Best friends from the Anula Girls' Home know how to have fun
The poor facilities and weak management seemed to be a particular cause for concern and so the Foundation stepped in to help remodel the home that provides care for around 30 girls aged 6 to 18.

Special programmes for the girls are provided thanks to kind sponsorship from individuals and families, including the Richie family, from the UK/Colombo.
These programmes include day trips to the zoo, turtle hatchery, beach and so on, alms giving, donations of equipment, food and clothing, development of a home garden in the home grounds to provide a sustainable source of food, maintenance of the home and grounds and electricity and water costs.

School supplies for the year are provided through the Foundation of Goodness' Essential School Supplies Programme.
