North Development Project

The Foundation of Goodness is committed to developing a Learning and Empowerment Institute in northern Sri Lanka.

This Learning & Empowerment Institute will provide facilities and services to meet the needs of rural communities and bridge the gap between these areas and the rest of the country. The project will cater to the healthcare, educational, business development, sports and empowerment needs of the local population through programmes of community development, inter-cultural activities and skills exchange programmes.

This proposal for the North will be based on the existing model developed in Seenigama in the Southern Province. Eight Empowerment Sectors will include:

1. Visitor Centre
2. Health
3. Education
4. Community Development
5. Employment & Enterprise
6. Children’s Development
7. Sports Academy
8. Volunteer/ Donors
