At Sri Sumangala Central College, Hikkaduwa, one of the brightest young cricketing talents, Sanjana Nethupul, recently achieved a remarkable milestone. In an Under-19 inter-school match against Henegama Central College, Sanjana took a total of 14 wickets—four in the first innings and a rare all-ten in the second—leading his team to a decisive 150-run victory. His precision and composure on the field stood out, making him the clear match-winner.
At the Foundation of Goodness, we are proud to support the cricket program at Sri Sumangala Central College (Hikkaduwa). By providing access to quality coaching, proper equipment, and opportunities to play at all levels, our sponsorship helps students like Sanjana develop their skills and pursue their passion for the sport. Achievements like his highlight not only individual talent but also the transformative power of sports in rural communities, inspiring other young athletes to dream bigger and creating pathways for success and brighter futures.
Sanjana’s ultimate goal is to represent Sri Lanka, first at the Under-19 level and eventually in the senior national team—a dream that inspires his peers and shows the heights young athletes can reach with dedication and support.
We congratulate Sanjana on his incredible performance and look forward to seeing him continue to grow as both a player and a role model for other young athletes in the community.
