A Celebration of Success at the Little Minds Strong Values Competition

At the Foundation of Goodness, we believe in nurturing academic ability and creativity, discipline and character. This belief was beautifully brought to life at the recently concluded Little Minds Strong Values (LMSV) competition, where young participants from our Village Heartbeat Empowerment (VHE) Centres showcased their talents with exceptional spirit and dedication.

We are incredibly proud to announce that several of our students achieved remarkable victories at this inspiring national platform, which promotes both artistic expression and moral development among children and youth.

From the Ahangama VHE Centre, W. K. Ashmi Lihansa, just 3 years old, was crowned Pre-School Category Champion. Her passion and joy for dance shone through in every step she took and it is truly inspiring to witness such confidence and talent in someone so young. Behind this success is the unwavering guidance of our dedicated dance teacher, Mrs. Nelakshi, whose commitment to her students continues to make a lasting impact. This proud achievement is a testament to the powerful combination of early encouragement and skilled mentorship.

The Monaragala VHE Centre also emerged triumphant, winning the Secondary School Group Category. Their thoughtful and expressive performance brought home the championship, reinforcing the idea that children exposed to the arts grow into individuals more sensitive to their communities, their environment and the world around them. This success speaks volumes about the holistic education we strive to provide, where values and creativity are given equal importance.

The pre-schoolers of the Mathagal VHE Centre delivered an outstanding performance, winning two dance competitions and earning a total prize of LKR 80,000. Their success is a testament to their talent and dedication, as well as to the strong values, discipline and encouragement instilled in them from an early age. Moments like these highlight the vital importance of investing in early childhood development, especially in rural communities, where such opportunities are all too rare but immensely impactful.

These milestones are more than trophies and titles, they are moments of pride for families, teachers and entire communities. They show what is possible when young minds are given the chance to grow in a nurturing and empowering environment.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the students who took part in LMSV Season 4, and to the tireless mentors and staff who support them behind the scenes. Your passion and dedication continue to inspire excellence and nurture the values that will shape a better tomorrow.

Let us continue to support these bright young minds, celebrate their achievements and believe in the potential of every child, regardless of their background.
