At the Foundation of Goodness, we believe that the small things can make the biggest difference. The Essential School Supplies Programme (ESSP) began with a simple idea: to help every child step into school with confidence, hope and the necessary tools to learn.
Over the years, this initiative has become an annual tradition rooted in dignity, care and opportunity. For children in Sri Lanka’s rural heartlands, receiving a pack is a moment of joy, a reminder that someone believes in their potential. Year after year, we have joined with numerous donors and supporters to change that story.
Each pack includes a sturdy backpack, 8 CR exercise books, 2 pens and a shoe voucher worth LKR 3,500. A donation of LKR 5,400 / USD 18 provides these essential items, a small gesture that can open doors to learning and possibility.
For many rural children, a simple school pack can be the difference between feeling overlooked and holding on to the belief that a better life is possible.
