Celebrating Success: Graduation Ceremonies at the Centre of Excellence, Seenigama – 16th & 17th January 2026

The Centre of Excellence in Seenigama was filled with pride and excitement as the Foundation of Goodness celebrated the graduation of 597 students across multiple courses. These ceremonies highlighted not only the dedication and perseverance of our students but also the life-changing impact of education and skills training in rural communities.

The celebrations began with an inspiring welcome address by Mr. Kushil Gunasekera, whose words encouraged graduates to believe in their potential and embrace the opportunities ahead. This was followed by heartfelt and motivating speeches from our distinguished guests, leaving a lasting impression on all in attendance.

36th Women’s Empowerment Centre Graduation

A total of 272 students from the Women’s Empowerment Centre proudly completed their programmes, marking an important milestone in their journeys toward independence, confidence, and sustainable livelihoods.

Distinguished Guests:

  • Chief Guest: Ms. Suharshani Welegama
  • Celebrity Guest: Aravinda De Silva
  • Guest of Honour: Ms. Sandamali Priyadarshani

Graduates also had the opportunity to showcase their talents through displays of their work in dressmaking, bag making, stuffed toys, bakery, pastry and cake, general cooking, beeralu lacework, and advanced sugar and cake toppers, allowing guests and families to witness firsthand the skills and creativity they had developed.

For many women, this graduation represents far more than a certificate. It is a powerful stepping stone toward entrepreneurship, financial independence, and long-term empowerment. Many graduates go on to start their own businesses, support their families, and become role models within their communities. Students also showcased their skills, leaving the audience impressed and proud of their hard work.

40th Computer Training, Business Skills, Language & Dive Centre Graduations

On the following day, 325 students from the Computer Training Centre, Business Skills & Language Centre, and Dive Centre received their certificates, celebrating their successful completion of programmes that open doors to employment, further education, and self-reliance.

Distinguished Guests:

  • Chief Guest: Mr. Anura Pandithage
  • Guest of Honour: Mr. Dinusha Pasindu Gunawardane

Their encouraging words inspired graduates to face the future with confidence, ambition, and resilience as they take their next steps forward.

Celebrating Achievement and Opportunity

The atmosphere across both days was one of joy, pride, and inspiration. For many graduates, these programmes represent opportunities that might otherwise have remained out of reach for young learners shaping new career paths, and for mothers gaining skills that uplift their families and communities.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all our distinguished guests for their time, encouragement, and support. Their presence added meaning and inspiration to these milestone moments.

Graduation at the Foundation of Goodness is more than a ceremony – it is a celebration of potential unlocked, skills mastered, confidence strengthened, and futures transformed, as our graduates step forward ready to build better lives for themselves and those around them.
