Akain Bojith: Chasing Dreams, Serving Success

We are proud to celebrate the inspiring journey of Akain Bojith, whose passion for table tennis began at the Foundation of Goodness Sports Academy in Seenigama when he was just eight years old.

Through years of dedication, expert coaching (including monthly coaching camps held by former National TT Coach and Table Tennis Champion Jothipala Samaraweera), and the opportunities provided by the Foundation of Goodness, Akain has grown from a young beginner into one of Sri Lanka’s leading young table tennis players. His remarkable talent was on full display at the Junior National Table Tennis Championship 2025, where he dominated across categories to become the Under-17 Champion, Under-19 Champion, Men’s Doubles Champion, and Mixed Doubles Champion. Capping off an outstanding tournament, he was also named the Best Player, a fitting recognition of his exceptional performances.

Akain’s achievements extend beyond the table. While competing at district, provincial, and national-level tournaments, he also excelled in his G.C.E. Ordinary Level examinations and is now pursuing his G.C.E. Advanced Level studies in the Mathematics stream, proving that sporting excellence and academic success can go hand in hand.

With ambitions of representing Sri Lanka at the Olympic Games while pursuing his dream of becoming a professional engineer, Akain embodies the values of dedication, discipline, and perseverance. We are honoured to have supported his journey and look forward to celebrating many more milestones as he continues to inspire the next generation of young athletes.
